Obama pernah dianugerahkan Hadiah Nobel Keamanan pada tahun 2009, dimana satu pencapaian yang amat membanggakan atas usaha luar biasa beliau memperkukuhkan diplomasi antarabangsa dan kerjasama antara rakyat terutama sekali krisis di Afghanistan.

Jan. 22, 2015 - Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah has died, state television announced. He was 90. Abdullah, had been in hospital for several weeks suffering from a lung infection. Abdullah, a U.S. ally in the fight against al-Qaeda, came to power in 2005 after his half-brother died. While serving three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004, he ran unsuccessfully in the Democratic primary for the United States House of Representatives in 2000.
